Amina Konaté, from La Rochelle, France, began her dance training at the Conservatoire of Music and Dance of La Rochelle at age five. After graduating high school in 2019, she joined the Rudra Béjart School in Switzerland. Two years later, she moved to New York City to attend The Ailey School. Amina spent the following summer dancing in Philadelphia as a Philadanco 2 (D/2) member as well as in New York with Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet and Borne dance company. She later joined TORCH Dance Theatre, CRDance and RudduRDance. Konaté has had the opportunity to perform with Felice Lesser Dance Theatre, Yaa!Samar Dance Theatre, Linda Diamond & Company, and Mason Lee Dance Theater. She has learned and performed works by Maurice Béjart, Julio Arozarena, Tancredo Tavarez, Janice Rosario, Christopher Huggins, Jeroboam Bozeman, Djassi Dacosta Johnson, Kevin Iega Jeff, Will A. Ervin, Jr., and Ray Mercer. Amina is also a certified Pilates instructor and teaches dance in Arts in Education programs.
