Hugo Moreno is a freelance musician in New York City. He regularly performs in Broadway orchestra pits and has been a member of the orchestra for the Radio City Music Hall “Christmas Spectacular”. Hugo is a founding member of New York-based groups Jarana Beat, the Gregorio Uribe Big Band, and A Mexican Affair, and has toured internationally with Grammy and Latin Grammy Winner Lila Downs and her band, La Misteriosa. He was born and raised in Sunland Park, NM, is a graduate of New Mexico State University and the Yale School of Music, and has been an ongoing participant at the Marlboro Music Festival in Marlboro, VT.
