jorge naranjo (dancer)

Jorge Naranjo was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in California's Central Valley. He began his training at the Ballet Folklorico de Frank Zapata when he was 11 and ballet training at 15. He has participated in workshops with the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno where he developed a love for stylized folklorico. He later started working on his ballet technique at Ballet San Joaquin. In 2016 he toured with the BFMCM alongside the Grammy-winning band Los Lobos, and in 2017 Jorge moved to NYC where he now dances with Ballet Nepantla.
